Pitch Your Documentary at London Breeze Film Festival 2025

London Breeze Film Festival (LBFF) are inviting submissions for their Documentary Pitching Event designed to give filmmakers a live platform to showcase their work to top industry professionals.

This is your chance to pitch your documentary or docu-fiction project in front of producers, commissioners, and key decision-makers. Selected finalists will receive tailored feedback, presentation support, and industry visibility during LBFF’s 2025 edition.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking in-development documentary or docu-fiction projects that meet the following criteria:

  • At least 80% of your film shot

  • Minimum 70% of the budget secured

  • Ability to submit around 20 minutes of edited footage (approx. 3 key scenes)

  • Pitch to be delivered by the director and/or producer

What You’ll Get

If selected as a finalist, you will:

  • Join a closed Pitching Workshop on Wednesday 22nd October

  • Present your project in a live SMASH Pitching Event on Thursday 23rd October

  • Receive a 15 minute pitch slot, including Q&A with our expert panel

  • Get bespoke feedback from documentary professionals

  • Network with industry guests and fellow creators

  • Prizes to be announced

Participation is free, and your project IP is protected through the SMASH platform.

Important Dates

  • Wednesday 22 October

    • 1:00–1:30 PM: My SMASH Media Presentation (open to all LBFF attendees)

    • 1:30–3:30 PM: Pitching Workshop (finalists only)

  • Thursday 23 October

    • 4:30–5:30 PM: Documentary Pitching Event


How to Apply

  1. Create a free Snapshot for your project via mysmash.media

  2. Include the following in your Snapshot:

    • Logline and synopsis

    • Creative team bios

    • Visual treatment

    • Budget status

    • 20 minutes of edited footage (Vimeo or private link)

  3. Once complete, share your project and apply to the LBFF Documentary Callout
