CHANNEL 5 is looking for fresh and accessible ideas in the following areas:

4-to-6 PART THRILLERS

Domestic in tone dealing with an issue that might be in tabloid news for example.   

9pm slot.

COSY CRIME

Traditional formula, escapist. For example Madam Blanc mysteries.

8-9pm slot.

HIGHBROW DETECTIVE 

Ideally based on existing IP like Frost, Morse, Vera.

COMMUNITY STORIES 

Ideas that speak to greater themes of relationships and community. For example All creatures great and small. Can be period, soft in tone.         

8-9pm slot.

TRUE CRIME DRAMA. 

Based on events that are fairly well known.

Budget, allow a maximum of £1M per episode.

Please bear in mind that the Channel 5 audience is outside London; favouring the north of England; non-metropolitan, lower middle class.

Channel 5 is happy to work with breakthrough talent, new directors, writers, and producers.
