A leading UK production company known for award winning high-quality, boundary-pushing scripted comedy and drama is currently seeking a lead writer for a vibrant new coming-of-age 8x30 minute comedy-drama. The series is based on the real lives of young professional dancers navigating the highs and lows of 80s light entertainment. If you have a strong voice for heartfelt, character-driven female ensemble stories, we want to hear from you!
What We’re Looking For:
Writers who have contributed to multiple writers’ rooms.
Experienced showrunners looking for their next flagship project are also welcome!Must have agent representation.
Comedy-Drama: have experience writing dramedy balancing youthful voices, humour and authenticity.
Grounded Northern Culture: able to write to themes of Northern working-class life, life in the 80s, ensemble cast full of diverse characters
