What’s on offer
Soho London Independent Film Festival (Soho LIFF) is offering up to 5 filmmakers the opportunity to pitch their short film idea to an industry panel.
Each selected Filmmaker will have:
5 minutes to pitch their project
Verbal feedback from the industry panel. No visuals required.
Selected participants will also take part in a SMASH pitch preparation session ahead of the live panel pitching on Friday 16th January.

Compelling short film projects at any stage of development

Who can apply
Open to anyone aged 18+
Projects may be at any stage of development
A representative from each selected project must be available for both:
Pitch preparation session: Friday 16th Jan 2026, 11am
Live Pitch: Friday 16th Jan 2026, 2pm
It’s free to submit, but you must either hold a ticket to a screening or be a selected filmmaker to enter.
What you need to include in your SMASH Pitch
Your SMASH Snapshot must include at minimum:
Logline
Format; Genre; Setting; Runtime
Brief Biog of key creatives
Synopsis – 300 words with all major plot points, including the ending.
Creative vision – 300 words
Comparables (recent TV or Film at your budget level that capture a similar feeling or energy) - optional
Any projects submitted without this information will not be accepted.
