Call out to pitch your film idea at Soho LIFF

Soho London Independent Film Festival (Soho LIFF) is offering the chance to up to 5 people to pitch their short or feature film ideas to an industry panel.

It’s free to submit however you must be a delegate of the festival to enter - for tickets please visit here.

For selected participants, it will include a SMASH pitch session ahead of the panel pitching on Saturday 27th January.

1.Create a free pitch on SMASH HERE. We require you to submit the logline, format, genre, setting, running time, status, creative team, synopsis, creative vision, and comparables although we appreciate they all may be Work In Progress answers. We DO NOT require a script, treatment, cast, budget, finance plan, or video although if you have them, you are welcome to include them.

  

2. Once you’ve completed your pitch submit your SMASH Snapshot to hello@soholiff.co.uk with PITCH 2024 in the subject line.

 

3. Soho LIFF will choose a shortlist of up to 5 projects. DEADLINE is 2nd January 2024.

 

4. The shortlisted projects will attend a free in-person pitch preparation session with SMASH at their Soho studio base on the morning of Saturday 27th January for 1h30 (exact time TBC). Come prepared with your 5-minute live pitch.  

 

5. The LIVE PITCH in front of an industry panel is on the same day, Saturday 27th January also at Soho LIFF Studio base at 4:30pm for the shortlisted projects!

You will get 5 minutes to pitch your project and receive verbal feedback then and there. No visuals are needed.

 

Rules and deadlines 

This is open to anyone aged 18 or above. Projects can be at any stage. Each project must have someone available to attend the pitching preparation session on the morning of Saturday 27th January (time TBC) and Live Pitch at 4:30pm on Saturday 27th January.
