An opportunity for five shortlisted teams to pitch a short documentary as part of the 11th edition of London Breeze Film Festival
A free two-hour pitching workshop led by My SMASH Media ahead of the live pitch
A live pitching event chaired by Girls on Tops, in front of documentary industry experts and an audience
Opportunities to build pitching skills, make industry connections and compete for prizes from industry partners

What they are looking for
Short documentary proposals only
Projects with a planned runtime of up to 15 minutes
Submissions presented as a 3 to 8 page deck on My SMASH Media
Who can apply
Female-led teams with at least two confirmed key roles held by women, including the director
Additional key roles may include the screenwriter, producer or DOP
Teams who can attend the workshop and live pitch at The Garden Cinema if shortlisted
What you need to include in your SMASH Pitch
Your SMASH Snapshot must include at minimum:
Logline
Format; Genre; Setting; Runtime
Brief Biog of key creatives
Synopsis that includes a compelling narrative arc and a human-centered focus including: strong characters, credible evidence, audio-visual storytelling to engage and inform the audience
Creative vision
Visual references (poster/concept art optional)
Budget range
Central characters/interviewees.
Comparables (recent TV or Film at your budget level that capture a similar feeling or energy)
Any projects submitted without this information will not be accepted.

Selected participants must attend the pitching workshop and live pitch event.
Industry experts may not commission your project directly but will provide feedback, connections, and guidance.
Five projects will be shortlisted.

About London Breeze Film Festival
LBFF is a BIFA accredited international film festival based in London that champions emerging filmmakers working in all genres and creative forms.
