Kinetic Film, led by producer Steve McCarten, is open to co-production partnerships for feature projects looking to shoot in and around Bournemouth.
Projects may be able to crew up locally, with up to 60% of crew, as well as HOD’s sourced from the region.
Specialist local departments are available, including SFX make-up and costume.
The area offers a flexible range of looks, including locations that can double for suburban US settings as well as industrial or northern town environments.
Private equity may be available for the right project structure.

What they are looking for

Feature projects of any genre seeking a co-production partner.
Projects that can benefit from filming in the Bournemouth area and making use of local crew and locations, including HoD’s..
For co-production enquiries, submissions should include a script, top-line budget, draft shooting schedule, and location references.
Projects with some financing already in place are preferred.
Cast attachments are a strong advantage.

What you need to include in your SMASH Pitch

Your SMASH Snapshot must include at minimum:

Logline
Format; Genre; Setting; Runtime
Script
Brief Biog of key creatives
Synopsis with all major plot points — set up; inciting incident; rising conflict; mid story twist; crisis; climax and resolution.
Creative vision
Visual references including Location References.
Budget.
Cast ideas (that would work with your budget)
Comparables (recent TV or Film at your budget level that capture a similar feeling or energy)
A top-line budget draft (upload to ‘Other Docs’)
shooting schedule (upload to ‘Other Docs’)

Any projects submitted without this information will not be accepted.
