What they are looking for

Projects that can shoot for at least 10 days in Piedmont and make strong use of local crew and production partners, which will help position them for the regional fund
Scripts that can take advantage of Piedmont settings, including mountains, lakes, wine regions, castles, architecture and industrial locations
Projects with at least 60% of financing already secured
Projects with a distributor contract already in place
Best suited to overall production budgets in the €800k–€2M range; projects above €2M may also be considered with additional lead time
Projects at an advanced stage of development or in pre-production, with the script and finance package ready to support an Italy shoot

What you need to include in your SMASH Pitch

Your SMASH Snapshot must include at minimum:

Logline
Format; Genre; Setting; Runtime
Brief Biog of key creatives
Synopsis with all major plot points — set up; inciting incident; rising conflict; mid story twist; crisis; climax and resolution.
Creative vision
Visual references (poster/concept art optional)
Budget range
Cast ideas (that would work with your budget)
Comparables (recent TV or Film at your budget level that capture a similar feeling or energy)

Any projects submitted without this information will not be accepted.
